The Bramble was invented in the mid-1980s by legendary London bartender Dick Bradsell, who wanted to craft a quintessentially British cocktail. Inspired by childhood memories of blackberry picking on the Isle of Wight, Bradsell combined gin, lemon juice, and crème de mûre (blackberry liqueur) to create a drink that celebrated the flavors of the English countryside. Over time, bartenders have experimented with fresh blackberries, putting a modern twist on this beloved classic.
