The Mudslide was born in the 1970s at the Wreck Bar on Grand Cayman Island. Legend has it that a customer ordered a White Russian, but the bartender had to improvise, swapping Irish cream for cream. The velvety, chocolate-flavored result was so popular, it quickly spread from Caribbean resorts to bars and restaurants worldwide, cementing itself as a favorite among dessert cocktail lovers.
Garnish with chocolate shavings or a drizzle of chocolate syrup. It adds visual appeal and a hint of extra chocolate aroma that sets the mood for this dessert cocktail.
