Originating in Spain, the Carajillo dates back to the times when Spanish soldiers combined coffee with a splash of liquor to summon 'coraje' (courage) before heading into battle. Over time, the drink evolved into a beloved after-dinner treat, most notably gaining popularity in Mexico, where Licor 43 became the spirit of choice. Today, the Carajillo is enjoyed worldwide, celebrated for its energizing kick and sweet, aromatic character.
Garnish with a twist of orange peel or a few coffee beans to accentuate the liqueur's citrus and coffee notes. The garnish adds aroma and visual appeal.
